apache-flume-ng on AUR (Arch User Repository)

1. Install "apache-flume-ng" effortlessly via AUR with the help of a helper(YAY)

a. Install YAY (https://github.com/Jguer/yay)

$ sudo pacman -S --needed git base-devel && git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/yay.git && cd yay && makepkg -si

b. Install apache-flume-ng on Arch using YAY

$ yay -S apache-flume-ng

* (Optional) Uninstall apache-flume-ng on Arch using YAY

$ yay -Rns apache-flume-ng

2. Manually Install "apache-flume-ng" via AUR

a. Ensure you have the base development tools and git installed with:

$ sudo pacman -S --needed base-devel git

b. Clone apache-flume-ng's git locally

$ git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/apache-flume-ng.git ~/apache-flume-ng

c. Go to ~/apache-flume-ng folder and install it

$ cd ~/apache-flume-ng $ makepkg -si
