failing-disk-reporter on AUR (Arch User Repository)

1. Install "failing-disk-reporter" effortlessly via AUR with the help of a helper(YAY)

a. Install YAY (https://github.com/Jguer/yay)

$ sudo pacman -S --needed git base-devel && git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/yay.git && cd yay && makepkg -si

b. Install failing-disk-reporter on Arch using YAY

$ yay -S failing-disk-reporter

* (Optional) Uninstall failing-disk-reporter on Arch using YAY

$ yay -Rns failing-disk-reporter

2. Manually Install "failing-disk-reporter" via AUR

a. Ensure you have the base development tools and git installed with:

$ sudo pacman -S --needed base-devel git

b. Clone failing-disk-reporter's git locally

$ git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/failing-disk-reporter.git ~/failing-disk-reporter

c. Go to ~/failing-disk-reporter folder and install it

$ cd ~/failing-disk-reporter $ makepkg -si
