gnome-shell-oldstable on AUR (Arch User Repository)

1. Install "gnome-shell-oldstable" effortlessly via AUR with the help of a helper(YAY)

a. Install YAY (https://github.com/Jguer/yay)

$ sudo pacman -S --needed git base-devel && git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/yay.git && cd yay && makepkg -si

b. Install gnome-shell-oldstable on Arch using YAY

$ yay -S gnome-shell-oldstable

* (Optional) Uninstall gnome-shell-oldstable on Arch using YAY

$ yay -Rns gnome-shell-oldstable

2. Manually Install "gnome-shell-oldstable" via AUR

a. Ensure you have the base development tools and git installed with:

$ sudo pacman -S --needed base-devel git

b. Clone gnome-shell-oldstable's git locally

$ git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/gnome-shell-oldstable.git ~/gnome-shell-oldstable

c. Go to ~/gnome-shell-oldstable folder and install it

$ cd ~/gnome-shell-oldstable $ makepkg -si
