1. Install "grype" effortlessly via AUR with the help of a helper(YAY)

a. Install YAY (https://github.com/Jguer/yay)


    
        
            $
        

        
            
                sudo pacman -S --needed git base-devel && git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/yay.git && cd yay && makepkg -si
            
                    
    
    Copied

b. Install grype on Arch using YAY

* (Optional) Uninstall grype on Arch using YAY

2. Manually Install "grype" via AUR

a. Ensure you have the base development tools and git installed with:


    
        
            $
        

        
            
                sudo pacman -S --needed
            
                        
                base-devel git
            
                    
    
    Copied

b. Clone grype's git locally


    
        
            $
        

        
            
                git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/grype.git 
            
                        
                ~/grype

c. Go to ~/grype folder and install it

                cd
            
                        
                ~/grype
