hplip-3.18 on AUR (Arch User Repository)

1. Install "hplip-3.18" effortlessly via AUR with the help of a helper(YAY)

a. Install YAY (https://github.com/Jguer/yay)

$ sudo pacman -S --needed git base-devel && git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/yay.git && cd yay && makepkg -si

b. Install hplip-3.18 on Arch using YAY

$ yay -S hplip-3.18

* (Optional) Uninstall hplip-3.18 on Arch using YAY

$ yay -Rns hplip-3.18

2. Manually Install "hplip-3.18" via AUR

a. Ensure you have the base development tools and git installed with:

$ sudo pacman -S --needed base-devel git

b. Clone hplip-3.18's git locally

$ git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/hplip-3.18.git ~/hplip-3.18

c. Go to ~/hplip-3.18 folder and install it

$ cd ~/hplip-3.18 $ makepkg -si
