lame-altivec on AUR (Arch User Repository)

1. Install "lame-altivec" effortlessly via AUR with the help of a helper(YAY)

a. Install YAY (https://github.com/Jguer/yay)

$ sudo pacman -S --needed git base-devel && git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/yay.git && cd yay && makepkg -si

b. Install lame-altivec on Arch using YAY

$ yay -S lame-altivec

* (Optional) Uninstall lame-altivec on Arch using YAY

$ yay -Rns lame-altivec

2. Manually Install "lame-altivec" via AUR

a. Ensure you have the base development tools and git installed with:

$ sudo pacman -S --needed base-devel git

b. Clone lame-altivec's git locally

$ git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/lame-altivec.git ~/lame-altivec

c. Go to ~/lame-altivec folder and install it

$ cd ~/lame-altivec $ makepkg -si
