mysql-connector-java on AUR (Arch User Repository)

1. Install "mysql-connector-java" effortlessly via AUR with the help of a helper(YAY)

a. Install YAY (https://github.com/Jguer/yay)

$ sudo pacman -S --needed git base-devel && git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/yay.git && cd yay && makepkg -si

b. Install mysql-connector-java on Arch using YAY

$ yay -S mysql-connector-java

* (Optional) Uninstall mysql-connector-java on Arch using YAY

$ yay -Rns mysql-connector-java

2. Manually Install "mysql-connector-java" via AUR

a. Ensure you have the base development tools and git installed with:

$ sudo pacman -S --needed base-devel git

b. Clone mysql-connector-java's git locally

$ git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/mysql-connector-java.git ~/mysql-connector-java

c. Go to ~/mysql-connector-java folder and install it

$ cd ~/mysql-connector-java $ makepkg -si
