open-fprintd on AUR (Arch User Repository)

1. Install "open-fprintd" effortlessly via AUR with the help of a helper(YAY)

a. Install YAY (https://github.com/Jguer/yay)

$ sudo pacman -S --needed git base-devel && git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/yay.git && cd yay && makepkg -si

b. Install open-fprintd on Arch using YAY

$ yay -S open-fprintd

* (Optional) Uninstall open-fprintd on Arch using YAY

$ yay -Rns open-fprintd

2. Manually Install "open-fprintd" via AUR

a. Ensure you have the base development tools and git installed with:

$ sudo pacman -S --needed base-devel git

b. Clone open-fprintd's git locally

$ git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/open-fprintd.git ~/open-fprintd

c. Go to ~/open-fprintd folder and install it

$ cd ~/open-fprintd $ makepkg -si
