passivedns-git on AUR (Arch User Repository)

1. Install "passivedns-git" effortlessly via AUR with the help of a helper(YAY)

a. Install YAY (https://github.com/Jguer/yay)

$ sudo pacman -S --needed git base-devel && git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/yay.git && cd yay && makepkg -si

b. Install passivedns-git on Arch using YAY

$ yay -S passivedns-git

* (Optional) Uninstall passivedns-git on Arch using YAY

$ yay -Rns passivedns-git

2. Manually Install "passivedns-git" via AUR

a. Ensure you have the base development tools and git installed with:

$ sudo pacman -S --needed base-devel git

b. Clone passivedns-git's git locally

$ git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/passivedns-git.git ~/passivedns-git

c. Go to ~/passivedns-git folder and install it

$ cd ~/passivedns-git $ makepkg -si
