purple-oicq on AUR (Arch User Repository)

1. Install "purple-oicq" effortlessly via AUR with the help of a helper(YAY)

a. Install YAY (https://github.com/Jguer/yay)

$ sudo pacman -S --needed git base-devel && git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/yay.git && cd yay && makepkg -si

b. Install purple-oicq on Arch using YAY

$ yay -S purple-oicq

* (Optional) Uninstall purple-oicq on Arch using YAY

$ yay -Rns purple-oicq

2. Manually Install "purple-oicq" via AUR

a. Ensure you have the base development tools and git installed with:

$ sudo pacman -S --needed base-devel git

b. Clone purple-oicq's git locally

$ git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/purple-oicq.git ~/purple-oicq

c. Go to ~/purple-oicq folder and install it

$ cd ~/purple-oicq $ makepkg -si
