tomcat8-solr on AUR (Arch User Repository)

1. Install "tomcat8-solr" effortlessly via AUR with the help of a helper(YAY)

a. Install YAY (https://github.com/Jguer/yay)

$ sudo pacman -S --needed git base-devel && git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/yay.git && cd yay && makepkg -si

b. Install tomcat8-solr on Arch using YAY

$ yay -S tomcat8-solr

* (Optional) Uninstall tomcat8-solr on Arch using YAY

$ yay -Rns tomcat8-solr

2. Manually Install "tomcat8-solr" via AUR

a. Ensure you have the base development tools and git installed with:

$ sudo pacman -S --needed base-devel git

b. Clone tomcat8-solr's git locally

$ git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/tomcat8-solr.git ~/tomcat8-solr

c. Go to ~/tomcat8-solr folder and install it

$ cd ~/tomcat8-solr $ makepkg -si
