How to Install and Uninstall rpcbind Package on openSUSE Leap

1. Install "rpcbind" package

Please follow the steps below to install rpcbind on openSUSE Leap

$ sudo zypper refresh $ sudo zypper install rpcbind

2. Uninstall "rpcbind" package

Please follow the guidance below to uninstall rpcbind on openSUSE Leap:

$ sudo zypper remove rpcbind

Rpcbind is a replacement for portmap. Whereas portmap supports only UDP
and TCP transports over INET (IPv4), rpcbind can be configured to work
on various transports supported by the TI-RPC. This includes TCP and
UDP over IPv6. Moreover, rpcbind provides additional functions in
regards to portmap.
